Cacao Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients

2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup of unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup of sugar
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of baking soda
A pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of cacao nibs or chocolate chips


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  • Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  • Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir.
  • Add the flour and mix until just incorporated.
  • Gently fold in the cacao nibs or chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the banana bread to cool before slicing and serving.
